Cheeky Dog Obedience is built on the simple principle that dogs are intelligent, social animals. Dogs need to understand what we are asking with clear communication and deserve to be consistently and fairly rewarded for the behavior we want. It is our responsibility to ensure the training is fair, positive and fun. If they are trained with fun, the dogs learn much faster and everyone has a much better experience! Class sizes are kept small to enable each dog/handler team a more individualized experience. Every dog is unique – our training looks at each dog and each training experience as special.

Basic Pet Obedience:

At Cheeky Dog Obedience, we believe teaching and cueing dogs to perform skills when asked is a much more enjoyable way for the handler and the dog to learn than commanding dogs to perform those skills.
This fun and effective class covers the basics: come when called, sit, down, stay, heeling, leash walking, go to your place, household manners and more. Class utilizes motivational principles and play. Puppies 5 months or older are welcome.
This is an active class for dog and handler and is not a class for reactive dogs.

When handlers and dogs are having fun, learning is much easier! The Obedience Games Class utilizes the skills learned in basic obedience; sit, stay, loose leash walking, recall, watch me and down.
Using fun and games to help strengthen those skills while promoting mutual respect and strengthening the dog/handler relationship without the use of pressure or force.
If you are ready for fun with your dog and looking to continue to build on your relationship… this is a great class for you and your dog!
Basic Obedience is a pre-requisite or approval from the instructor.
